Lightened Flywheels

At approx. 5.5 lbs., these provide a weight loss of 40-50%+, (depending on model), for lowered mass and rotational friction,   providing quicker acceleration.

Flywheels are also rebalanced for OEM reliability and smoothness.

 (Please remove all starter clutch hardware before shipping cores; this will all be bolted to the new flywheel)

We offer lightened flywheels, for VMAX or Venture (Royal Stars in the near future), on an exchange or outright basis. Weight is reduced approx. 0-50%, (depending on year and model), to approx. 5.5 lbs., for better throttle response and less rotational friction & mass. Flywheels are rebalanced after lightening, for OEM reliability and smoothness. (Flywheels need to have starter clutch & hardware unbolted and removed before shipping).

"Heres the report on the installation of one of SportMaxs' lightened flywheels. First off there was no effect at all on the charging system. The new flywheel actually seems to put out a little more at all RPM's. I attribute this just to the fact that it is a different flywheel to start with. The effect on the bike was not as drastic as I thought it might be which is a good thing. It still idles normally and pulls away smoothly. I did have to turn the idle screw up a little bit. You can still lug it down and cruise at low RPM with no problem. I had worried it was not going to want to lug down and pull smoothly from there. You can hear the difference in the throttle response but again it is not a drastic change. My bike had excellent throttle response to start with. It does seem to pull away quicker from all RPM when the throttle is opened. Overall I like the change so far.
